Go J-Hawks!
Welcome Back Message from Principal Luna
Dear J-Hawk students and families,
I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits as we gear up for another exciting academic year at Jefferson High School.
As we embark on the 2024-25 school year, I want to take a moment to share our mission and vision for this school year. Our mission is to foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment that empowers every student to achieve their full potential. We firmly believe that each and every student has unique interests and strengths, and it is our responsibility to provide them with the tools and support they need to thrive in pursuit of their passions.
To achieve this, we are committed to:
1. Academic Excellence:
Our students deserve the best education possible. The administrative team and I will work closely with our dedicated teaching staff to provide a rigorous and engaging curriculum. We will foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills to equip our students with the knowledge and abilities they need to succeed in their future endeavors.
2. Student Well-being:
The well-being of our students is of great importance. We will prioritize creating a safe and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued, respected, and supported. We will implement proactive measures to promote positive mental health and encourage a strong sense of belonging within our school community.
3. Parent and Community Engagement:
We believe in the power of collaboration and partnership. By fostering open lines of communication, involving parents in their
children’s education, and encouraging community involvement, we can create a robust support network that enhances student success.
4. Professional Growth:
As educational leaders, the administrative team and I are committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement. We will provide ongoing professional development opportunities for our staff, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality instruction. By nurturing their growth and recognizing their expertise, we will create a dynamic learning community that benefits both staff and students.
We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead of us, and we look forward to working together to make the 2024-25 school year a truly remarkable one.
With gratitude,
Jessica Luna
Principal
