The first day of school will Tuesday, August 25, 2026. This will be a full day of school. With the below buttons you can view a comprehensive Harding Calendar. You can also see the daily schedule below.
School Fees
On the bookkeeping page, you can find more information about:
– Book fees and Fine Arts fees
– Seeing if your student qualifies for waived/reduced fees
– Apply to be considered for wavied/reduced fees
Athletic Registration
Before students can begin participating in a Jefferson sports team, they must complete an athletic registration.

Back To School Bash
Back to School Bash for the 26-27 school year. It will take place on Tuesday, August 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Annual Verification
Annual Verification is currently open. Completion is required by ALL Cedar Rapids Community School District families for ALL enrolled students.
Annual Verification through the Parent Portal lets us know that your student will be attending a CRCSD school for the upcoming school year so that we can adequately plan for classroom assignments and transportation needs. This is also when parents can sign up to receive communications from the school, sign all permission slips needed for the year (media release, field trip permission, and technology use), and complete forms to qualify for reduced school fees.
Lunch Money
2026-2027 Meal Prices:
Breakfast $2.55, Reduced price $0.30
Lunch $3.50, Reduced price $0.40
Milk $.60

Bus Transportation
By Iowa law, the District is obligated to transport students who wish to ride and are eligible. For most high school students, this means living 3 or more miles from the high school in your residence area.

Health Clinic
Jefferson High School has a full-time school-based health clinic, also known as Metro Care Connection or MCC. MCC is a health clinic providing services such as routine physical examinations, which are required for students to participate in sports.
